First Post

This is the first post of this new blog. I have made many blogs over the years and not one of them lasts more than a few weeks, or in some cases, days. My aim is to use this as a unified location for everything that I want to remember in the future. Let’s see how that goes… It’s entirely possible that this blog will not be updated very often, but, I hope it is. To help me feel less pressure in keeping the blog up to date, I won’t be advertising or publishing the blog address anywhere.

Technical

For the first time, I am using Hugo to write the blog and Netifly to host it. So far, it seems okay - time will tell. Netifly’s free package includes up to 100GB of traffic so that is pretty much guarenteed to cover me for this blog.

I am using a ready-made theme for now while I get the hang of Hugo. I’m hoping to make my own theme at some point in the future.
